Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    pinch of salt
    1 c. Crisco in can
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 cans pie filling
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut in Crisco.
    Add eggs, milk and vanilla (which are beaten together).
    Blend well.
    Divide dough in half.
    Roll, between wax paper; roll size of cookie sheet.
    Spread filling.
    Roll other half.
    Place on top of filling.
    Close sides. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
