Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large or 2 small boxes strawberry jello (regular or sugar-free)
    1 c. boiling water
    3 large bananas, mashed
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1 bag frozen strawberries or 2 pt. fresh strawberries, mashed
    1 small carton Cool Whip or sour cream
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Add remaining ingredients except Cool Whip.
    Put 1/2 into refrigerator to set.
    Leave 1/2 at room temperature.
    When refrigerated 1/2 is set, spread with Cool Whip.
    Top with room temperature 1/2 mixture.
    Chill until firm.
