Gluh Wein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oranges slices, cut crosswise
    16 lemon slices, cut crosswise
    4 qt. Burgundy
    24 whole cloves
    4 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks, broken into 5 pieces each
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Remove centers from the fruit slices.
    In a large saucepan (stainless steel or heat resistant glass), bring wine to simmering; do not boil.
    Add fruit and rest of ingredients; stir to dissolve sugar.
    Over low heat, let stand about 10 minutes. Serve in punch cups, mugs or coffee cups.
