Sicilian Baked Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. grated Locatelli cheese
    1 or 2 boxes frozen peas
    6 cans (large) plum tomatoes
    2 lb. cooked ziti
    1 large sliced onion, sauteed in oil
    1 large eggplant
    2 lb. chopped meat (ground sirloin)
    1 lb. sliced mushrooms
    olive oil for cooking
    sugar, salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Slice large eggplant lengthwise and brown in oil.
    In a separate pan, saute mushrooms lightly. When eggplant is done, let dry on paper towels.
