Swedish Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. salted butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    6 oz. ground pecans (1 1/2 c.)
    4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Fold in flour.
    Fold in ground pecans.
    Wrap dough in a ball in waxed paper.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Cut dough into quarters and form long rolls approximately 1-inch round.
    Cut cookies 1/3-inch thick onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle with sugar; store in closed container.
