Chocolate Turtles - cooking recipe

14 oz. pkg. caramels
1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
2 c. chopped pecans
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
Preparation

Melt caramels in double boiler until smooth.
Add pecans. Drop by teaspoon on waxed paper, then chill.
Combine chocolate morsels and shortening in a double boiler until smooth.
Dip caramel morsels in chocolate mixture.
Keep refrigerated.
