German Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) cans sauerkraut
    2 pkg. (6 to 8) pork steaks
    8 medium onions
    2 tsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cut onions in small cubes.
    Saute onion in butter until brown. Cut pork in cubes and add to onions.
    Place onions and pork in large pan.
    Add paprika, sauerkraut, 2 cups water and brown sugar. Bring mixture to boil, then simmer for 3 hours (6 hours in crock-pot on low setting).
    Before serving, add 1/2 cup sour cream.
