Tropical Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    4 c. sugar
    46 oz. orange juice
    1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade, diluted as directed
    1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple juice
    5 ripe bananas, blended
    3 qt. ginger ale (to be added later)
Preparation
    Combine water and sugar.
    Boil 3 minutes.
    Cool.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Let chill thoroughly or may be frozen to make slushy punch.
    Just before serving, add three quart bottles of chilled ginger ale.
    Makes 2 1/2 gallons.
