Homemade Catsup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. ripe tomatoes
    6 whole onions
    3 heads garlic
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt
    2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. chili powder
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. cloves
    3 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Put tomatoes in big pot or pan; boil with onions and garlic until soft.
    Sift through a flour sifter, getting all the pulp. Add the rest of ingredients.
    Put all spices into a little rag, tie it up and put all into tomato pulp and boil until it thickens like catsup.
    Put into clean bottles or jars and seal while it is still hot.
