English Toffee Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Hershey bars
ground walnuts
Preparation

Cream together first 4 ingredients.
Add flour and salt slowly.
Spread in ungreased 13 x 10-inch cookie pan leaving 1 inch on sides.
Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0 until brown.
Place Hershey bars on top immediately upon removal from oven.
Spread as they melt.
Sprinkle with ground nuts.
Allow to cool and cut to size cookie desired.
