Petal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1/4 lb. oleo or butter
Preparation
    In warm water, dissolve yeast, let stand few minutes.
    Add salt, sugar, egg and shortening.
    Add 1 1/2 cups flour, stir thoroughly.
    Add 1 1/4 cups more flour or more.
    Knead 10 minutes. Let rise until double.
    Work down.
    Roll out 1/4 inch thick.
    Cut into diamonds, dip each in melted butter or oleo and place in Bundt pan or angel food cake pan.
    Let rise until double.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until brown.
    If angel food pan is used, put pan in 9-inch cake pan or oleo will leak out in oven.
