Sourdough French Bread Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/3 c. flour
Preparation
    Bring to boil milk, water and oil.
    Cool to warm.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup water.
    Add together.
    Add salt and sugar.
    Stir in flour, just until mixed.
    Cover and let stand in warm place for 12 to 18 hours to sour.
    Store in tightly closed container in refrigerator for several days.
    Measure the amount needed and bring to room temperature before using.
    Makes enough starter for 12 loaves.
