Strawberry Angel Food Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    3 (10 oz.) frozen strawberries, thawed
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (10 oz.) angel food cake, torn into pieces
    1 pt. whipping cream, whipped stiff
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in 2 1/2 cups boiling water.
    Add strawberries, sugar and salt.
    Fold in whipping cream.
    Put a layer of angel food pieces on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour over half the strawberry mixture.
    Add remaining layer of angel food pieces and top with remaining strawberry mixture.
    Refrigerate until firm. Top with Cool Whip or whipping cream.
    Makes 12 to 15 servings.
