Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. chicken or turkey, cooked
    1 can mushroom soup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    6 oz. can bits and pieces mushrooms
    1/2 c. milk
    1 jar pimentos, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In top of double boiler, melt butter and flour.
    Blend well. Add milk slowly stirring constantly until thick.
    Add soup, pimentos, mushrooms, salt, pepper and chicken cut in large pieces. Mix well.
    Simmer until thick.
    Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or toast tips.
    Freezes well.
    Thaw and heat.
    Serve with peas and cranberry sauce.
    Serves 4.
