Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. hot water
    1 c. quick cooking oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour hot water over oats, set aside.
    Mix next 7 ingredients. Add oat mixture, flour, soda and salt.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Frost.
