Uncle Harold'S Secret Recipe Hot Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, peeled and diced
    2 c. elbow or shell macaroni (equal amounts of potatoes and macaroni)
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. milk or 1/2 to 3/4 c. Milnot
    garlic salt to taste
    1/2 tsp. white pepper (optional)
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or to taste
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper or to taste
    1 Tbsp. bacon bits
    dash of dill weed
    1/4 tsp. parsley flakes (optional)
Preparation
    Cook diced potatoes, macaroni and onion until tender.
    When done, drain off 1/2 of remaining water.
    Add to this the remaining spices.
    All spice amounts can be adjusted to taste.
    Serve on cold winter days with a very large pitcher of ice tea.
