Never Fail Dumplings For Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. snipped parsley
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour,
    baking
    powder
    and
    salt; add parsley and thyme. With pastry blender, cut in shortening until like very coarse corn meal.\tWith fork, lightly mix in milk to form soft dough. Stir as little as possible.
    Drop dough by tablespoonfuls into boiling
    stew.
    Simmer
    for
    10 minutes, uncovered, then cover and simmer an additional 10 minutes.
