Cranberry-Banana Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. fresh cranberries
    1 large banana, diced
    1 c. + 1/2 c. sugar, divided
    2 c. vanilla water crumbs
    1/2 c. butter
    6 Tbsp. butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Grind cranberries.
    Combine with banana and 1/2 c. sugar.
    Set aside.
    Combine vanilla wafer crumbs with 6 Tbsp. butter, melted. Press 1/2 crumbs in bottom of 9-inch pie dish.
    Cream 1/2 c. butter and 1 c. sugar until light.
    Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
    Fold in nuts.
    Spread over crumb mixture.
    Top with cranberry mixture. Whip cream and spread over cranberries.
    Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
    Chill 6 hours or overnight.
