Ingredients

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. white sugar
2 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Heat brown sugar and water to boiling.
Pour over mixture of sifted flour, cornstarch and white sugar.
Cook until thick.
Add slightly beaten egg yolks and cook 1 minute longer.
Remove from heat and add butter, salt and vanilla.
Let cool.
Pour into baked crust and cover with meringue.
