Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Cream butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar until fluffy.
Gradually stir in 1 cup flour until well blended.
Pat evenly in a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
Prebake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes or until firm to touch.
Remove from oven.
Meanwhile beat eggs until light colored and add remaining 1 cup brown sugar, salt and vanilla; beat until well blended.
Fold in remaining 2 tablespoons flour, pecans and coconut.
Spread over crust and bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown.
Cool completely and cut into thirty-two 2 x 1-inch bars.
