Butter Chip Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced cucumbers
    1/2 c. coarse salt
    8 or more onions
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    4 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place cucumbers in pan; add salt.
    Pack with ice.
    Drain ice and water after 3 hours.
    Add other ingredients and heat to boiling or until yellow.
    Pack in jars and seal.
