Caramel Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (28) caramels
    1/4 c. oleo
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 pie shell
    1/2 c. water
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Melt in double boiler the caramels, water and oleo. Gradually add hot caramel sauce to eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla, stirring well.
    Add pecans.
    Bake in uncooked pie shell at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and continue to cook for 40 minutes more.
