Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 T. baking powder
    1 1/4 t. salt
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 t. grated orange peel
    1 1/2 c. rolled oats (uncooked)
    1 c. dates, chopped
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
    1/4 c. shortening, melted and cooled
    1 1/3 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured large loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
