Hot Buttered Rum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup dark corn syrup
    1/2 cup whipping cream
    2 Tbsp butter
    dash salt
    1/2 tsp rum extract
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
    In medium sauce pan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, cream, butter and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in rum extract and pecans. Serve warm over ice cream. Makes 2 cups.
