Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream sugar, margarine and egg.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Add hot water last.
    Beat until smooth.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes in a 9 x 9-inch pan.
