Phoebe'S Smothered Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

chicken cutlets
salt, pepper, thyme and flour
1 onion, chopped
1 c. water
1 c. milk
2 chicken bouillon cubes
Preparation

Pound the chicken cutlets between 2 pieces of wax paper to thin, if they are thick.
Dredge chicken cutlets in the salt, pepper, thyme and flour.
Fry the onion in oil and remove. Brown coated chicken in oil and remove. Add some coating mix to the pan drippings, stir, then add the water, milk and bouillon cubes. Stir until thickened. Replace chicken and onion back in pan. Cover and cook on simmer until tender (20 or 25 minutes).
