Creamy Holiday Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, undrained
    3 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1 (16 1/2 oz.) can pitted light sweet cherries
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons juice.
    Set aside. Combine egg yolks, sugar and salt in a heavy saucepan.
    Gradually add reserved pineapple juice, vinegar and butter.
    Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; cool.
    Combine pineapple, cherries and miniature marshmallows in a bowl.
    Fold egg mixture into whipped cream. Pour over fruit, stirring gently to coat.
    Cover and chill 8 hours.
