The Very Best Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sq. baking chocolate
    2/3 c. shortening
    4 well beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and shortening over low heat.
    Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy; add vanilla.
    Sift dry ingredients and stir in alternately with chocolate mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
