Shrimp Etouffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped fine
    1 large bell pepper, chopped fine (red and/or green)
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
    green onions, chopped
    salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
Preparation
    Saute onions and bell pepper in butter until tender.
    Stir in shrimp. Cook on medium heat until shrimp are done, 10 to 15 minutes. Add a small amount of water as needed.
    Add green onions; cook about 5 minutes. Season with salt and peppers.
    Serve over rice.
