Never-Fail Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. white Karo
2 large egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 or more c. nuts
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and Karo in saucepan over high heat. Stir only until sugar dissolves.
While syrup is cooking, beat egg whites in large mixer bowl until stiff on high speed.
Be sure bowl and beaters are grease free.
Cook syrup to 240\u00b0.
Pour about 1/2 of syrup over egg whites, beating constantly with mixer. Return syrup to high heat and cook to 265\u00b0.
Pour over mixture in bowl, beating constantly.
Do not scrape syrup pan.
Add vanilla and beat to mix.
Remove bowl from mixer and beat with wooden spoon until candy starts to lose gloss.
Stir in nuts and continue to beat until candy holds shape when dropped from spoon.
Drop on waxed paper.
