Larry'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    butter or oleo
    1 large can tomato juice
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 cans pinto beans
    1 bottle Mexene chili powder
    1 good pinch sugar
    4 to 5 medium cloves garlic
    2 lb. ground chuck or 1 lb. ground chuck and 1 lb. deer chili meat
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic cloves in butter or oleo.
    Brown meat. Combine onion and garlic with meat in a large pot.
    Pour in beans (you can use precooked dry pintos) and tomato juice.
    Add enough water to fill pot.
    Bring to a boil; then simmer 2 to 3 hours. Salt and pepper to taste.
    If you do not like a lot of tomato taste you can substitute 1 can of beef broth and 2 (8 ounce) cans of tomato sauce.
