Mouth-Watering Apricot Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. dried apricots
1/2 c. water
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter, melted
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
Preparation

Press 2/3 of the mixture into a 9 x 9-inch ungreased pan. Spread apricot filling evenly over the oatmeal mixture and top with the remaining oatmeal mixture.
Press lightly.
Bake 35 minutes.
Let cool thoroughly.
Cut into squares.
Makes 20 to 24 bars.
