Cold Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    2 pkg. frozen peas, barely cooked
    1 to 2 red onions, finely sliced
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    5 carrots, grated
    4 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. bacon, cooked (optional)
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, peas and onions in large salad bowl.
    Combine remaining vegetables; place on top of lettuce.
    Mix salt, pepper, sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Spread over salad; seal edges.
    Chill overnight.
    Crumble bacon on top.
    Serves 16.
    (This recipe is easily halved to serve eight people).
