My Kolaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. (2 c.) warm milk
    1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour (approximately)
    4 egg yolks
    1 whole egg
    lemon rind from 1 lemon and juice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. melted shortening (I use vegetable oil)
    3 c. flour
    powdered sugar icing
    1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Let warm milk, yeast and 2 tablespoons of sugar stand until yeast comes to the top, about 5 to 10 minutes.
    Add enough flour (approximately 2 1/2 cups) for not real thin or thick. Let rise until double.
    Add egg yolks, whole egg, lemon rind and juice, salt, 3/4 cup sugar and shortening.
