Cheese Canapes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
    1/2 lb. margarine
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Have cheese and margarine at room temperature.
    Grate cheese; add margarine and blend mixture with your hands.
    Add flour and salt.
    Shape into a roll as you would for pinwheel cookies.
    Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for several hours.
    Cut into 1/8 or 1/4-inch slices and place on a salted cookie sheet.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 8 minutes.
    May be sliced and placed on a cookie sheet in the refrigerator; ready to bake at time of serving.
