1 medium head cabbage
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. rice, washed
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. bacon grease
2 cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Bavarian or regular sauerkraut
2 to 4 hot sausage links
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Fry onion in bacon grease until onion is soft.
Mix ground beef, rice, salt, pepper, egg, fried onion and bacon grease.
