Quick Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 can tomatoes, chopped and undrained
    2 c. water
    2 c. cubed potatoes
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables
    season to taste with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder
Preparation
    Combine oil, chuck and onion in large Dutch oven.
    Cook over high heat until beef is browned.
    Cover, reduce to low heat and cook 10 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
    Makes 9 cups.
