Onion Rings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lg. onions peeled and sliced
1-1/2 c. self-rising flour
1-1/2 c. canola oil
water
Preparation

Separate sliced onions into individual rings.
In med. sauce pan heat oil on med-high setting.
In med size bowl mix all of flour with enough water to make batter consistency thick enough to cling to onions.
Coat a few slices of onions in batter thoroughly coating and place in hot oil until batter is crisp turning to cook both sides (new oil will not allow batter to brown as well). Remove cooked rings from hot oil and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot.
