Canadian Short Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar (very fine)
    3/4 lb. butter
    3 c. flour
    1 c. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter well.
    Sift flour and cornstarch in a separate bowl.
    Add gradually to the preceding mixture.
    Place 1/4-inch thick on a cookie sheet.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 1/2 hour.
    While still hot, cut with a small cookie cutter.
    Place a silver decor in the middle of each cookie.
