Kimpira Gobo(Fried Burdock) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. gobo
    1 Tbsp. oil
    3 Tbsp. shoyu
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. dried shrimp
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. aji
    1/4 lb. carrots, cut up like gobo (optional)
Preparation
    Cut 1 pound gobo thin, like matchsticks.
    Soak in water for 15 to 20
    minutes;
    drain.
    Put 1 tablespoon oil in frying pan; saute gobo\tfor

    minutes.
    Add carrots, shoyu, sugar, shrimp and\taji.
    Cook
    until
    sauce
    is absorbed.\tAdd chili pepper if desired.
