Grandmother'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. blackberry jam
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. pecans
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and cream well.
    Blend in jam.
    Sift\ttogether flour, salt and spices.
    Add the soda to buttermilk.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk, ending with dry mixture.
    Fold in pecans
    and raisins; pour into 4 cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
