Oatmeal Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 egg whites, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
    1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    vegetable cooking spray
    1 tsp. sifted powdered sugar
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, vegetable oil and vanilla in a medium bowl. Stir well. Add egg whites and stir well.
    Combine flour and next 4 ingredients.
    Add to sugar mixture, stirring well.
    Pour batter into an 8-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 23 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Sprinkle with sugar.
    Yields 12 servings (about 126 calories per 2 1/2 x 2-inch bar).
