Far East Celery - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. (1-inch thick) celery slices
    1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
    1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    cream
    1/4 c. diced pimiento (optional)
    1/2 c. soft breadcrumbs
    1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Cook the celery in a small amount of boiling water until crisp (about 8 minutes); drain.
    Mix with the water chestnuts, soup and diced pimiento.
    Place in a 1-quart casserole.
    Top with the soft breadcrumbs, tossed with the slivered almonds and melted butter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
