Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    4 c. chopped cabbage
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
Preparation
    Brown meat in shortening; add onions and celery.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Place alternate layers of cabbage and meat mixture in buttered 2-quart baking dish.
    Top with bread crumbs and bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    (May add Tabasco sauce.)
