Twin Beef Turnovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. oleo
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. canned peas, drained
    1/2 c. shredded carrot
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Make pastry with 2 1/2 cups of flour.
    Melt butter in skillet. Add onion, green peppers and beef; brown lightly.
    Add peas and carrots and sprinkle with salt, pepper and 3 tablespoons of flour. Stir well.
    Divide pastry dough in half.
    Roll each into a 12-inch circle.
    Moisten edges of dough with water.
    Fold pastry over filling like a giant turnover and press edges together to seal.
    Cut open design for escape of steam.
    Bake in a very hot oven (450\u00b0) for 15 minutes.
    Reduce heat to moderate (375\u00b0) and continue baking for 20 minutes.
