Turkey Chow Mein - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 green pepper
    1 c. celery
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 3/4 c. turkey or chicken broth
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 envelope or 1/2 c. dry onion soup mix
    2 to 3 c. diced turkey or chicken
    1 (3 oz.) can broiled, sliced mushrooms
    1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts
    1 (1 lb.) can bean sprouts
Preparation
    Cut green pepper in thin strips; cook with celery slices in butter for 2 minutes.
    Add broth.
    Blend cornstarch with cold water and soy sauce.
    Gradually stir into broth.
    Add dry onion soup mix.
    Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
    Add turkey, mushrooms, water chestnuts (drained and thinly sliced) and bean sprouts (drained).
    Heat mixture and serve with chow mein noodles. Makes 6 servings.
