Basic White Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, melt margarine.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly; gradually add milk.
    Heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Makes 2 cups.
