Peanutty Crisscrosses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 c. margarine, softened
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In medium
    bowl, mix oatmeal, flour and soda.
    In large bowl, mix butter,
    peanut
    butter
    and
    sugar
    until light and fluffy. Add water,\tegg and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill
    dough
    1
    hour.
    Shape
    dough to form 1-inch balls.\tPlace on\tungreased cookie sheet and flatten with fork dipped in sugar to\tform
    crisscross
    pattern.
    Bake
    9 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0
    or until
    edges
    are
    golden
    brown.
    Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire cooling rack.
    Makes 7 dozen.
