Greens With Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    2 c. chopped onions
    2 c. chicken broth
    4 lb. collard greens or turnip greens, rinse and remove stems
    crushed red pepper
    hot sauce
Preparation
    Clean greens and cut up 2 days ahead. Make sure you clean greens really well.
    Cook bacon in 4 to 5-quart pot until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towel.
    Remove all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat.
    Cut onions in bacon fat over medium heat and cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring, until translucent.
    Add chicken broth.
    Bring to boil; add bacon and bring to boil.
    Add greens, a batch at a time, adding more as they cook down.
    Cover and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until leaves are tender and liquid is reduced by half.
    Add crushed red peppers over greens.
