Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 Tbsp. warm water
5 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water.
Sift dry ingredients.
Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
Mix buttermilk with dissolved yeast; add to flour mixture.
Cover bowl and refrigerate several hours or up to 3 days.
Take out desired amount of dough.
Roll out on lightly floured board to 3/8-inch thickness.
With biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits.
Dip each in melted butter and place in a pan.
Let rise in a warm place about 30 minutes.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yield: 50 to 60 large or 80 small biscuits.
